Children’s Music
Music is increasingly disappearing from the curriculum in schools. It is therefore our privilege to be working with Burnham Market Primary School. Our workshop aims to include as many children as possible, either as singers or making props and being stewards on the night of the performance.
“The opportunities provided to our children by Music in Thorpe are unique and hugely valuable. Not only do they give pupils the opportunity to engage with and learn from world class musicians, but the workshops and performances also give them the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience in the wonderful setting of All Saints Church. Such opportunities for a rural community such as ours are so limited, with the pupils gaining confidence and new skills as well as developing their musical talents, understanding and creativity. The workshops and performances are also hugely enjoyable for them and their families love coming to watch!’
Schools have also explained the importance of not charging for these creative, enjoyable and memorable experiences.”
